Top 10 Big Day Beauty Products

Ah… wedding day…that special day you’ve been looking forward to since childhood. A simple reason to make it as perfect as possible.

Here are some of my top 10 big day beauty product must-haves.

1. Olay Total Effects- this light,non greasy moisturizer keeps your skin healthy and hydrated the whole day.

2. Make Up Forever All Matte Primer- takes away shine/oilyness in an instant but still keeping your skin soft.

3. MAC Studio Sculpt- one of the best foundation I’ve ever used. Gives full coverage but leaves the skin soft and supple.

4. Nars Orgasm Blush- you can’t fake the bride’s natural blush on her wedding day, but you can make her more glowing by applying this perfect blush.

5. Lipstick- It will all depend on the bride (or the wedding theme) whether she wants lips pale or funky, light or dark, matte or glossy. . There’s a whole lot of lipsticks to choose from. I love Lancome Absolu Rouge lipstick in #275, it has a soft mauve color that just look so natural

6. Make Up Forever Aqua Eyes EyeLiner in Brown or Black- that big day is filled with mixed emotions. Make sure that her liner won’t smudge and is waterproof.

7. Make Up Forever Eye Seal- seal the deal, the bride needs to look fresh and made up the whole day.

8. Essie in Ballet Slippers- paint those nails with natural color like this pale pink hue which makes the illusion of longer fingers.

Whenever I’m out with some friends they tend to check what’s inside my make up bag. I usually change some of its contents (esp. the colors) depending on my mood, but for today, here’s the rundown of my beauty essentials.

My basic needs in a zebra print pouch-MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer, MAC Studio Fix Compact Powder in NC35, Make Up Forever Aqualiner in Black, Curlash, Maybelline Volume Express Mascara,  MAC Blush in Fleur Power, Prestige Browliner, Body Shop Kabuki Brush, Stila Countouring Trio, Chapstick in Cherry. Not included in the picture are: Neutrogena Sunblock, Sophie Cheek Tint, Eyebrow Razor, Blush Brush.

Veronica-Prettified!

I learned the word “prettified” from Veronica herself…

For her event (christening of her son) last  July 11,  Von requested a natural fresh look and not heavily made up since it’s an afternoon party . She has a really really nice skin, no blemishes/ discoloration,  so,  I just put a thin layer of foundation to prep the skin, peach and brown tones on her eyes, cheeks and a little rose color for her lips.

Bridal Look Book

I recently got introduced with polyvore.com, it’s an online shop/style site. So I thought of compiling the make up products used on some of my works. Instantly, I thought of this headshot.

For our model’s face, I used MAC Studio Fix Liquid Foundation to even out skin tone, Bobbi Brown Loose Powder to set the foundation.

Her eyes were colored with MAC eyeshadow in Beautiful Iris, lined with MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack. Her lashes were curled and finished with 2 coats of MAC Fiber Rich Mascara

I also used Make Up Forever brow corrector for her eyebrows and to complete the look I colored her lips with MAC Creme Sheen.
