Ruth’s wedding look

My friend Ruth tied the knot last friday, December 10, 2010 and I did her hair and make up for this special day.

I used airbrush foundation on her face and hand worked the rest of the makeup. Taupe and browns were used as eye colors and for her lips, I combined 3 shades to get this beautiful red-orange shade. Perfect for her fair complexion.

Here’s the look.

Makeover of some entourage members using traditional make up.

Since the bride is a good friend of mine, I am expected to attend the wedding ceremony and reception as well, but as a guest. So, here’s my look for Ruth and Lito’s wedding: Dress from Tyler (it was love at first sight) paired with black satin shoes and gold sequined clutch. What do you think?

Beside me is my sister Isabelle, She wore a Forever 21 ensemble and Matthews booties.

The preparation was at Bellevue Hotel, Ceremony and Reception at Fernbrook Gardens, Alabang. I wish I could post some more shots from the wedding, but their official photos were not released yet.  Maybe soon. Best wishes to Ruth and Lito!

Leatrice Debut Party Look

I did the hair and make up for the 18th birthday of Leatrice San Juan and here is her before and after shot.

“Trish” wants a simple, “not heavily made up” look for her debut party. I used airbrush technology on her face and cheeks and handworked the rest of the make up.

Foundation: Graftobian | Eye colors: MAC Swish and Make up Forever eye shadow in #127| Cheeks: Graftobian blush, NARS Orgasm | Lips: MAC Lustre, Shu Uemura candy pink lip gloss.

Victorian Style E-Session

A very busy week was capped off with a pre-nup shoot last saturday of my friend Ruth and her fiance Lito. Venues were Fernbrook Gardens, Alabang and Fantasy World in Tagaytay.

Ruth has 3 layouts in mind, one of which is Victorian/Royalty theme and the Fernbrook provided the perfect backdrop and gave that “Romeo and Juliet” feel. Here are some of my snapshots.

I wasn’t able to get shots from the 2 other layouts, I’ll just wait for Smartshots’ outputs.  Anyway, I did two looks on Ruth, a bridal day and glam/regal look. I airbrushed her face and cheeks (foundation and blush) and the rest of the make up was done by hand.

Tempting 30’s

What’s best way to celebrate your 30th birthday?  Have a concept shoot!!!

That was what Ms. Jen Corpus did. Not something she usually do but is definitely worth the try. The photographer Jen indeed went infront of the camera and be a model for an afternoon.

Jen commissioned me to do her hair and make u.. She wanted  3 different looks in 3 layouts, we agreed on the prime, vintage/classic and modern-k pop look which all fits her and are all so fun!

Here is the before and “afters” of Jen:

And the jaw dropping outputs of photographer Ken Go

I wonder what she’ll do her next birthday.
