10 yr old Oxfords

Oxford shoes, a must for fall 2010. Instead of buying a new pair, I brought out from the storage the Giorgio Armani Oxfords that my sister Michelle gave me 10 years ago.

Out from my baul (treasure chest) and into the streets, last time I wore this was sometime in 2001 and it’s still in great shape.

Italian Shoes are really keepers!

Jessica Stam rocked Aldo

Staying home and nursing a bad flu gave me ample of time to do internet surfing and shopping, this lead me to Aldo’s site. Great news! Their Fall 2010 ad campaign is already up and Jessica Stam starred in it once again.

Jessica looked super cute in this “vintage rocks look” (sitting on top of a jukebox). And don’t forget those fold over cuff booties…a must have this fall.

The campaign was shot by Terry Richardson but more than the photos, I am really entertained by their Fall 2010 video. It’s just sad that I can’t post it here yet but you can log on to to watch the video featuring The Seed by Tristan Bechet. Dance, Dance, Dance!

Trip to Thrift

My love for vintage items lead me to this awesome store -The Grand Thrift House in Cubao Expo. A wide array of items – from old furniture, antique home accessories, movie memorabilias, books, magazines, comics, gadgets and toys to old fashioned coke and milk bottles – everything packed in approximately 30 sq m store. One should really have an eye for what is valuable to appreciate what the store offers.

I have a list of items to buy for one of my projects – a vintage perfume bottle with sprayer, wooden frames, horror movie like candelabra and an old desk lamp shade.  I got the latter, made of elegant marble and brass, at a very nice price of P1,500 only!

The Grand Thrift House also has branches in Kamuning and Paranaque.  I must go (again) to their Kamuning outlet  for the 1940′s wooden frames.

Oh by the way, thanks to Kuya Ernie for the discount and for allowing me to take some snap shots.
